Runaway-Going Home

‘Atso’s POV

I guess I just wanted my answer…I guess I just wanted my answer… Vera’s words rang in my head as I was walking back ‘home’. After she said that she stormed out of the room, leaving me in my shock. Before I could go after her and apologize, Nadira came in, and I could tell she had a smile on her face.
  “We’re here.” Her voice seemed to be dripping with happiness.
  “Oh joy…” I mutter walking onto the familiar pathway.
Suddenly, Nadira shouts out, “MOM DAD! COME HERE QUICK!” I sent Nadira a glare as my parents approached. Mom froze right in her spot and I felt Dad stare into me.
  “’Atso? Is that you?” mom whispered, it was odd, mom barely ever whispered from what I remember. I sigh and nod slightly.
  “Yeah…it’s me…” She pushes past dad and embraces me as I stood there, still as stone.
  “’Atso! Where on earth did you go!” she scolded through all her happiness, “You had us all worried sick!......even me!” she adds jokingly.
   Dad steps forward and says, “It’s good to have you back home…” and he pulls me into the doors, I would never call home…

  I sighed angrily as I flopped onto my bed. Today had been as worse as living in a den filled with moose-lions. Kovou gave me the cold shoulder, Mom and Dad bombarded me with questions, Sandris and Anor were visiting so I also got questions from them and Sokka and Suki, finally there was Ara. She had been surprisingly quiet through the whole thing…..until she had to go to bed. Then, she snuck into my room while I was going over my newly acquired stuff and started talking. Her voice was hoarse I think from crying and I felt kind of guilty for leaving.
   I kicked my shoe aside as I walked into my bed and I quietly wondered, just what exactly was Vera doing right now…..

Vera’s POV

   As soon as ‘Atso left I ran into my room and started punching a pillow to get my anger out.
   I can’t believe I kissed him! I made a fool of myself by making that idiotic move! I was worried Genjin had seen but thankfully he was too preoccupied with who Nadira was. Eventually, I left my room and gathered the older kids into the main room so I could tell them what was going on. After, I dismissed them Genjin walked up to me.
   “I told you it was true.” He said.
  “You just said he was hiding something.” I huffed.
  “And I was right.” I glared slightly and looked away.
  “I don’t want to talk about him…” I whispered and started walking towards Sahara. Leaving Genjin in confusion.
  Sahara noticed my worry, “What’s wrong? Aside the fact that Lee….um…’Atso lied to us?”
  I smiled weakly at the twelve year old, “It’s a long story…”
Sahara gave me a grin and sat down, “Well…I like stories.” I chuckled slightly and sat down, telling Sahara, the entire story.
